Sales & Marketing Associate / Quick Change Salesperson

Description

Seeking a polished, high-energy, ambitious and professional salesperson who can help us grow a product line of specialty catalog items used for lean manufacturing. In this role, you will prospect for new business through cold-calling, prospecting, consulting, questioning, while also working with existing customers through problem-solving and follow-up.

Our customers are found across a wide range of manufacturing categories including automotive, aerospace, robotics, assembly, automation, defense, plastics, metal fabrication, packaging and household products.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of our products, and how to use them for improving efficiency in a manufacturing environment
  • Identify new opportunities for sales growth of our product line
  • Generate and maintain a pipeline of prospects through cold-calling, emails and personal visits
  • Interview potential customers to find their pain
  • Use problem solving skills to help customers improve their processes
  • Use our CRM system to keep customer information and contacts up-to-date
  • Maintain multiple existing key accounts simultaneously while prospecting daily
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in manufacturing
  • Attend trade-shows and exhibit our products at a booth
  • Create and perform sales presentations to engineers
  • Generate quotations and follow up promptly
  • Answer technical questions and troubleshoot difficulties for the end-users of the products
  • Assist in keeping our website and sales media current and up-to-date

EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

  • Basic mechanical sense / technical understanding
  • Willing to work from our office in Fort Loramie, Ohio
  • Writing, typing, and communication skills, with basic knowledge of common office systems
  • Low-maintenance, and self-motivated, with a strong work-ethic
  • Sound negotiating and strategic selling skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities, create a business plan, qualify targets, assess decision makers, and prioritize sales efforts
  • High-volume phone and email experience is a plus. You must be able to generate your own pipeline at least 75% of the time.
  • Willing to travel by car or airline as needed for trade-shows, closing deals, or technical assistance (estimated 10% – 15% of the time) with occasional overnight stays when required.
