Our Simulation Team Eliminates Costly Mistakes

Typical tooling design requires a number of iterations, so we employ simulation tools that enable us to reach optimal tooling design much more quickly, helping to eliminate some of the correction loops and reduce delivery times.

We’ve been utilizing metal forming simulation software to verify our forming process since 2002. In that time, we have developed a reputation for producing difficult parts with very little tryout time after the build.

Our extensive knowledge of metal flow and the ability to run spring back analysis provides us with the requisite knowledge to simulate and design parts made from low carbon steel to Advance High Strength Steel, (AHSS) including Dual Phase (DP), TRIP and Martensite materials, as well as various grades of Aluminum.

Additionally, for our transfer press applications, we apply simulation software that provides key insights into your transfer die process. This software identifies crashes, close calls and inefficient transfer system curves before the dies are machined, built and tried out. At the conclusion of each simulation iteration, our team of engineers will provide a detailed report showing the Go/No-Go areas in the transfer process. These findings allow you the opportunity to make changes and eliminate issues before the die is built; eliminating expensive and time-consuming fixes later in the build process.
